Quick Glam Makeup Look Using The Jaclyn Hill Palette

My makeup is usually super simple and I don’t really go glam with my makeup but I was having an experiment with the Morphe X Jaclyn Hill Palette and decided to go a little less simple and this ‘glam’ makeup look didn’t take long at all. My eyes took the longest time however I applied my base in 10 minutes which is a world record for me! Also please lets ignore my hair as I wasn’t expecting to take any photos so it was in it’s natural frizzy state…

I started with my brows as always and I used my ABH Dipdrow Pomade in Blonde which I took on a precise brush to shape my brow and then used a thicker brow brush to fill in my brow which I’ve been doing lately as my brows have somehow gone a lot thicker than usual so I find it easier to fill them in with a thicker brush as it’s so much quicker. And then I carved my brows out with the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in shade 1 and I’d definitely say when it comes to carving your brows that less is more as when I use a smaller amount of concealer it always looks better! And I have to apologise for my right eyebrow as it looks absolutely terrible…

After priming my eyelids with my Collection Concealer and Rimmel Stay Matte Powder, I started on my eyes which I’m using the Morphe X Jaclyn Hill Palette which you can read more on here.  So I started with the shade Creamsicle which is a warm orange and I took this on a fluffy brush all over my crease which gave the perfect base for the look. I then took the shade Hunts to give more depth and colour to my crease and I made this a tad more precise than shade 1 so I applied it with my Morphe M321 brush and blended it out with a small fluffy brush. To finish off my crease I took the shade Roxanne and I took this precisely in my crease and blended into my outer third. I then took Firework which is a gorgeous burgandy/copper shimmer and I took this in the centre of my lid and a little bit more to the outer third of my eye and I then took a gold shimmer, Meeks, and applied this lightly on top of Firework in the centre of my lid just to give a hint of gold. Then finally I took the shade Beam which is such a pigmented highlighting shade and I took this in the inner corner of my eye.

Moving onto my base I kept it quite simple and I stared by priming with the Nivea Express Hydration Primer as well as using the Seventeen Skin Wow Highlighter on my cheekbones, chin, nose and forehead which gives the perfect dewy base. For foundation I used the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum in shade 52 which is one of my favourite foundations as it’s light on the face but gives medium coverage. And I then took the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in shade 1 under my eyes, chin and forehead which I blended in with the Spectrum A02 Brush which is one of my favourites at the moment. To set this all in place I took my favourite powder which is the Technic Colour Correcting Loose Powder and I took this lightly all over my face and then more heavily under my eyes and forehead.

To lightly sculpt my cheekbones I took the Makeup Revolution Ultra Bronze Bronzer which I’ve been loving at the moment and I took this under my cheekbones on the Real Techniques Contour Brush. And to bronze I took my all time favourite which is of course the Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer in Light and bronzed under my cheekbones and forehead as well as using a tiny bit of the sides of my nose just to add colour not to shape as my nose always looks so pale! For highlighter I took the Mary Lou Highlighter from The Balm and applied this on my cheekbones, nose, brow bone and cupids bow which I love as it’s super pigmented and such a stunning shade.

Then to finish off my eyes I mixed the shades Hunts and Roxanne and applied these lightly on my lower lash line directing it on the outer section but bringing it in to the inner third. And I took the Maybelline Lash Sensation Mascara on my upper and lower lashes.

Lastly I lined my lips with the MUA Lip Liner in Caramel Nougat and lightly applied Brave by Mac on my lips as I then took my favourite gloss which is the Buxom Lip Cream in the shade Dolly which I will never stop loving!

I was pretty happy with how this turned out especially as it only took my a good 25 minutes to do which is record speed for me! What’s your go-to glam makeup like?
