Who doesn’t love a weekend coffee shop morning?
A coffee and a freshly baked good might just solve all my life problems. And I think I have found a new favourite spot in Manchester.
ON TODAY’S MENU:
I could have happily tried everything on the Pollen menu. From freshly baked pastries to egg on toast, you are spoilt for choice.
I like to think of myself as a sourdough connoisseur, which is ironic as I’m easily pleased when it comes to a sourdough loaf. But hands down, Pollen’s 24 hour sourdough is definitely marching to the top of my recommendations. Served with butter and jam, this really proved you can’t beat freshly baked bread.
My friends opted for a Matcha & Cherry cookie; don’t let the alarming green colour put you off. For any of you with a sweet tooth, this is a mouth-watering option. And as an Easter treat on the menu, my friend chose the Hot Cross Bun, and to say I was envious would be an understatement.
WHAT I SLURPED:
Let’s talk caffeine.
The coffee at Pollen Manchester was served in an aesthetic small mug, or the delicate design takeout cup. The coffee was delicious and I ordered mine with oat milk, as this was the only alternative milk option. However, in my opinion the size of the coffee for the price was quite small. Maybe correct in the world of coffee but I would have loved to have a larger size coffee. And expensive slurp but worth it to be sat outside on the marina in the sun. Unfortunately coffee seems to cost an arm and leg these days so I guess maybe it could even be classed as cheap…!

I’ll definitely be returning to Pollen in Ancoats, Manchester, to try out a pastry and cinnamon bun!
