How much does my everyday makeup cost?

I’ve seen this post floating around recently and after seeing a couple of bloggers doing it and I thoroughly enjoyed reading them I thought I’d love to do my own. I’m really excited to see how much my everyday makeup comes to as I do mostly use drugstore products so I’d expect it to be quite cheap however I feel some things really do make it a bit more pricey.
The makeup look I went for for this post is just the makeup I always reach for when doing simple makeup at the weekend and you’re most likely to have seen me talk about most of these products before as they are my all time favourites! Also I haven’t included brushes as that would be a whole other story….

So to start with I always do my eyebrows, which I use my ABH Dipbrow Pomade ‘Blonde’ – £15 which I highly recommend as it’s so easy to use and stays in all day long. I then use my Freedom Pro Camouflage Concealer ‘CF01’ – £3 which I use to lightly carve out my brows with which works really well.

Going onto my face I start by using my Miss Sporty Insta Glow Primer – £3.49 which isn’t an amazing primer however it gives me skin a natural and radiant glow which I suits my makeup really well. Next a current staple of mine is using my Freedom Pro HD Longwear Concealer ‘Green’ -£3 which I blend into all red areas on my face and I apply a good layer to my cheeks as this gets all the redness away which is basically a miracle for me.

I then use my Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum in ’52’ – £10.99 which is of course an all time favourite, it’s so lightweight however gives the perfect coverage. For under eye concealer I use the Maybelline Age Rewind in ‘Nude’ – £7.99, I have to say this isn’t my favourite under eye concealer however it still works fine for everyday use. I then blend my L.A Girl Pro Conceal in ‘Porcelain’ – £5 with this and put this on any spots, I love the concealer however I definitely need to re-purchase it so I can try a different shade as this shade is a little bit too yellow toned for me.

I then set this all in place with my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in ‘Translucent’ – £3.99 which I lightly dust around my face. I then take the highlighting powder from my Seventeen Define and Conquer – £5.99 and use this to pack under my eyes and highlight my chins, forehead and cheekbones. I then use the contour shade from the same palette and very light-handedly sculpt below my cheekbones with this which I love but I only use a tiny bit as it’s very pigmented for my pale skin!

To bronze my face up I’m using my Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer – £14 which I absolutely am in love with at the moment and I wish everyone could smell this because it’s insane! After bronzing my cheekbones and the top of my forehead, I’m taking The Balm Mary Lou Highlighter- £18 on the tops of my cheekbones, nose and cupid’s bow. This is my all time favourite highlighter, it is a bit pricier but it’s totally worth it! Also for blush I use the Rimmel Lasting Finish Blush ‘Pink Rose’ – £3.99 which is a pretty pinky nude blush that I apply very lightly to my cheeks.

Onto to eyes, I’m starting by using my Rimmel Exaggerate Eyeshadow Primer – £4.99 which I religiously use and love. Next onto eyeshadow, which is where the price of my makeup really rises! For everyday use, I always use my Urban Decay Naked 2 – £38 which I do think it’s overpriced however I absolutely love the  palette and the shades. It’s perfect for everyday use or a glam look!
For mascara, of course I’m using the Maybelline Lash Sensational -£7.99 which is so cheap for such a top quality mascara. I use this on my top and bottom lashes which gives so much volume and length.

To finish off my makeup I always go for the same lip look which is my MUA Lip Liner ‘Caramel Nougat’ – £1 which we can all agree is a bargain and a half! And of course my Mac Patent Poslish Lip Pencil in ‘It’s Really me’ -£18 which is again my all time favourite lip product as it’s the perfect nude and looks incredible with any look.

And I’m making sure my makeup stays all day by using my E.L.F Makeup Mist and Set – £5 which I’ve been loving at the moment and is a staple in my makeup routine.

So that’s my go-to makeup routine which I think I do use a range of very cheap products however I’ve probably brought the price up by a couple of more expensive products.
 My overall total is…. £169.42

I did think that it would be a bit cheaper however I did use my Naked 2 which obviously isn’t the cheapest of eyeshadow palettes. Personally I think this shows how makeup is very expensive to buy especially how a lot of my products were from the drugstore.
