My Go-To Autumn Makeup

Autumn makeup has to be my favourite as I love a warm shadow and a fuller base compared to the summer months. I brought out an old foundation for this look which I really enjoyed using as well as I used my new obsession which is the Morphe X Jaclyn Hill palette which is the third time in a row that it’s featured in a blog post so I promise the next post shall be some fashion! But for this look I kept it super simple and I find it a really quick and easy look to do and it’s super long lasting which is why it’s one of my go-to looks for the season.

Firstly on the brows I took the ABH Dipbrow Pomade in Blonde which I used to fill in my brows in and I set my brows in place with the L’Oreal Brow Artist Gel in Light/Medium which I focused on the tail of my brow. And as usual I carved them out with the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in 1.

After priming my eyes with the Collection Concealer and setting in place with the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder I used the shades Creamsicle and Butter from the Morphe x Jaclyn Hill Palette and blended these in my crease as a base for the look. I then took the shade Pooter to deepen my crease and then blended Pukey onto the outer third of my eye. In the centre of my lid I took Queen which is a gorgeous gold shimmer and then highlighted my inner corner with a mix of Beam and Enlight.

Moving onto my base I took the Nivea Express Hydration Primer which is one of my favourites as it keeps my skin super hydrated. And I took the Freedom HD Longwear Concealer in Green on my cheeks, around my nose and forehead to balance out the redness in my skin.

For foundation I mixed together the L’Oreal Infallible 24hr Matte Foundation in the shade 10 ‘Poreclain’ which used to be way too light for me but I’m so pale at the moment so it was fine! And I mixed this with the Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum in 52 which worked really well together as although the L’Oreal claims it’s matte it seems to have more of a satin finish. I used to hate the L’Oreal foundation as it never seemed to blended nicely or have a flawless finish that you’d expect however after using it for this look after ages I really enjoyed it and I’ sure I’ll be using it again throughout winter. To conceal and highlight my under eyes I took the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in shade 1 as well as blending this on my chin and forehead. Then for powder I took the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder as I’m not a matte person however I prefer a fuller coverage base for this season so I took this powder lightly over my face and heavier under my eyes and forehead.

For bronzer I used my two favourites at the moment which has been the Makeup Revolution Ultra Bronze which I took lightly to sculpt under my cheekbones and then bronzed my face using the Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer which is my all time favourite. And for highlight I used the Collection Speedy Highlighter in the shade 1 ‘Pearly Sheen’ as it’s not too bold however it’s pigmented enough to give a subtle glow and the pearly shade suits the whole look. And I applied the highlight onto my cheekbones, nose, brow bone and cupids bow to highlight my face.

To finish off my eyes I went back in with the shades Butter and Pooter for my lower lash line and took the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara on my top and bottom lashes. And finally I took the Kiko Smooth Temptation Lipstick in 06 which I’m not too sure of as I don’t think it goes amazingly however I love the shade so I just wore it!
